Because his main focus is getting 8 – 10 hours of restful sleep, the time he wakes up will depend on if he had a basketball game the night before.
NBA games start at 7 pm and go until 9:30 pm. Then after the game he has post-game physical recovery, which can take up to 1 hour.
Wake-Up and Breakfast Routine
- No alarm clock. LeBron wakes up naturally. This is why his wake-up time varies based on if he had a game the night before. He requires his body to be well-rested and ready for another day. He uses the WHOOP wearable to track his sleep, recovery, stress, strain and more.

Many young people look to LeBron for style guidance.

Pre-Game Warmup

Game-Time
- Everything. This is what it’s all about for LeBron James. The reason for everything. His entire routine revolves around game-time. He does everything so he can perform at 100% for as long as possible. He is widely regarded as either the 1st or 2nd (after MJ) best basketball player of all-time. And it all comes down to this next 2 – 2.5 hrs.
- Running. LeBron has averaged 38 minutes per game throughout his career. He has average 2.4 miles (3.9 km) of movement per game since tracking began in 2014.
